“permanently closed - dauerhaft geschlossen” is an ongoing photojournalism project i started in 2021. it focusses on public places, that used to be the gathering place of a community. shops, drug stores, butcheries, bakeries, taverns and pubs - out of business due to the drift to the cities & urbanization. they are relicts of past times, often leaving us guessing what life used to be.
